Athens, Greece

Day 1 (day 2 of work)

So what is the true test of a communicator? Since I have chosen graphic design as my profession it could be more clearly be stated as “professional communicator” I guess the process of me coming to greece is going to be a true test as to whether I have really learned how to be a designer through school and looking and hoping. It is not that I do not consider myself a designer it is can my work speak for itself. At this point at my internship at Red Design Consultants I am being tested on my communication skills. When there is a language barrier it always feels like someone is talking about you but you don’t know what they are saying? Like my ears have been burning for the past two days. I’m sure that over time I will break some communication barriers and I hoping my design will help that along. Well this is the start to what is hopefully not a long 4 months! Today I have mostly just hung out. No one seems to know how to use me yet? I’m sure that will change. But proof of my boredom today is I have started this blog! Well it might give my friends and family back home a way to know what I am up to and how I am feeling? Well I guess this is the start to a extremely exciting 4 months. I am still learning the crazy athens city, still in a hostel looking for a place to live and the office runs for 10 am to 7 pm so that’s nice. I unfortunately forgot my camera in my car so I will post some images when I get one! So here we go!

Greece is awesome. I am sure that this experience will give you wisdom in and especially out of the design realm.

Are you close to the beach? I remember, when I went there, they were the most amazing I have seen anywhere in the world.

Embrace it. You have an incredible 4 months ahead of you!

I will keep you updated with the DHS stuff. Right now I have received about 8 of 96 responses to the web survey I sent out. Hopefully more to come.

Eat, drink and be merry my friend!
